CAF African Schools Football Championship Registration window officially open

• CAF confirms registration period for CAF African Schools Football Championship 2024/25 season
• Official dates and host nations of the new season revealed
• Exciting innovations set to be rolled out by CAF ahead of the new season

The registration window for the CAF African Schools Football Championship (“ASFC”) 2024-2025 season will close next week on 31 July 2024.

The CAF African Schools Football Championship is Africa’s largest youth football competition.

As in previous editions, the CAF Africans Schools Football Championship will be conducted in three phases namely; National Phase (hosted by Member Associations), Zonal Phase (hosted by CAF’s Zonal Unions) as well as the Continental Phase that is hosted by CAF in partnership with the selected Zonal Union and Member Association.

For the 2024/25 season, the National Phase of the competition will run until 01 October 2024 to accommodate the various school calendars across Africa.

Upon qualifying from the National Phase, teams will proceed to the Zonal Phase which has been confirmed to take place between November – December 2024 across all six of CAF’s Zonal Unions.

The Continental Phase, which is the grand final of the CAF African Schools Football Championship will then take place between April – May 2025, where the champions of the third edition of the innovative youth football competition will be crowned.

The CAF African Schools Football Championship – a first in world football has firmly established itself as the leading youth football competition in Africa, thanks to the visionary leadership of CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe who continues to champion and manifest his vision of making African football globally competitive and self-sustaining.

With the registration window now officially open, CAF will soon formally announce new and exciting features of the new season of the competition, which will build onto the success of its innovative approach to using the power of football to produce and nurture future African leaders.
