Accra

The coastal city of Accra provides a HOST VENUE stunning backdrop to the CAF African Schools Football Championship 2025 and has a rich football history of its own.

It is the capital and the largest city in Ghana, and serves as an economic and administrative hub for the region.

The most famous football clubs in the city are Great Olympics and Hearts of Oak, while the Accra Sports Stadium is steeped in history.

It was the venue for the 1978 TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations  nal, where Ghana beat Guinea 2-0, and for the 2008 decider where Egypt took the title.

The Right to Dream Academy is based in the city and has, over the years, produced numerous professional footballers for the Ghanaian and global game.
