Salima Mukansanga, Fatiha Laassiri and Andile Dlamini confirmed as TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2024 Draw Assistants

Salima Mukansanga, the person who made history as the first woman to referee a TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, is amongst the three people confirmed as draw assistants for Friday’s TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2024.
The draw will take place on Friday, 22 November 2024, at the prestigious Mohammed VI Technical Centre in Sale, Morocco, starting at 20h00 local time (19h00 GMT).
The TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will be live on CAF’s digital platform: YoutTube CAF TV and a number of CAF key partners including beIN Sport, SuperSport, Canan+, SABC, Azam Media, SNRT/ Arryadia.
About the Draw Assistants:
Andile Dlamini (South Africa): A key member of South Africa’s victorious 2022 WAFCON squad, Andile Dlamini is one of Africa’s most accomplished goalkeepers. Known for her commanding presence and inspirational leadership, she played a pivotal role in helping South Africa claim their maiden TotalEnergies WAFCON title on Moroccan soil.
Salima Mukansanga (Rwanda): A trailblazing referee, Mukansanga made history as the first female official to referee a men’s FIFA World Cup match during Qatar 2022. Her inclusion highlights her influence in African and global football, where she has officiated numerous high-profile matches.
Fatiha Laassiri (Morocco): A former Moroccan international and a celebrated figure in women’s football, Laassiri represented Morocco in various international tournaments. Now a respected coach and mentor, she is an advocate for women’s football development in North Africa.
Next year’s TotalEnergies WAFCON, taking place from 5 to 26 July 2025, will feature 12 of Africa’s top national teams competing for continental glory.
South Africa, the reigning champions, are among the teams to watch in this 13th edition of the tournament.
